- BREESE, BRYANT, DIXON, HILL, MARTIN, PUTNAM, ROSE posted by Tom and Marnie Hill on
Thursday, April 16, 1998
- Looking for information on Gretta Martin Putnam ROSE. She was living in Marion the
latest date in their City Director 1971. She was born in 1874. She was the daughter of
John MARTIN and Louisa DIXON. Her mother died when she was small and John remarried Rachel
BRYANT. Gretta married John PUTNAM and they had a daughter Carrie Ann PUTNAM who married
Harry BREESE. Carrie died quite young. Evidently Gretta married a ROSE after her marriage
to PUTNAM. Gretta lived in Wyandot County, Ohio, then to Bucyrus (Crawford County, Ohio)
and last known whereabouts of her was Marion, Ohio. We have interest in any of the above
descendants as they were last living in Marion, Ohio. Rachel BRYANT'S father was George
BRYANT who was born in Georgia and died in the Civil War. Her mother was Ann Marie/Maria
HILL who was born in Seneca County but died in Bucyrus, Ohio. We hope Gretta'S descendants
might have information on this noble Veteran or even maybe a picture. He fought for the
82nd Ohio and was killed at the battle of Gettysburg. We will be glad to reimburse for any
photos. ICQ # 5262941

- I am searching for any KELLEHER family connection's in Marion, Ohio. My great, great
grand father, John KELLEHER was born in 1838 in Ireland and came to the US in 1847. I
would like to find out who his parent's were, I would also like to know who his wife was-
she is not listed on the 1900 Ohio census with John KELLEHER -he is listed as widowed. My
great grandfather, William H. KELLEHER was born April 11, 1876 and Married Catherine MAIER
(also from Marion) they moved to Massillon, Ohio and did not keep in touch with the
