- HOOD, LEANORD, WILLIAMS posted by Garrett Johnson
on Monday, March 29, 1999
- Benjamin H. WILLIAMS. Born in Marion County, Ohio on December 9, 1816. Son of Benjamin
WILLIAMS and Jane HOOD, both natives of Maryland. He appears on 1850 census for town of
Marion (page stamp 67, line 17) with wife Nancy LEANORD, born probably 1817, and 4
children. They married in 1839. He was a merchant. He left Marion with family in 1869 for
Peoria, Illinois. What I really need is information about his parents and wife. They all
appear in the 1830 census, but it doesn't provide any decent information. Any addition
information about Benjamin jr. would be appreciated as well. Thanks in advance.

- The CRESAP Society is seeking information on Marion County CRESAPs, particularly a
Daniel Cresap b there ca 1903. We desperately need his parent's names to enable one of his
descendants to link to the rest of the Cresap clan. This particular Daniel *may* have died
in Illinois, but was definitely born in Marion County. Any leads, clues, hints, or other
assistance will be greatly appreciated!
