- Rufus P. MILLER, b. 1840, VA; m. Barbara WRIGHT, 1861, Athens Co, OH. S/o of William R.
MILLER & Martha STEED. Civil War service: Company B, 22nd Regiment of Ohio Volunteers;
Company E, 75th Regiment of Ohio Volunteers. Captured 1862 Battle of Bull Run; mustered
out 1865, Jacksonville, FL. Moved to Marion Co. after 1865. Barbara continued to live in
Marion Co. after Rufus died. Need any information on Rufus' children, parents and
siblings.

- Searching for any information regarding Patrick and Ellen Gaughan BARRETT. Ellen was
born in 1845 to Michael and Catherine Mcneely GAUGHAN , according to her death
certificate. Both were born in County Mayo Ireland, around 1845, came to US in April 1870
to Shenandoah PA, to Marion OH by 1877. Two children born in PA were Michael Barrett
(1873) and John (Jack) Barrett (1874). Two more children were born in Marion OH Patrick
Barrett JR. (Samuel), and Helen Cecilia BARRETT Robbins, born Dec 10, 1881. Members of St.
Mary Church, Marion. Buried in unmarked graves in section C 18 at St. Mary Cemetery.
Marion OH. Patrick died in 1894, Ellen died in 1916. Patrick became a US citizen in Oct.
1877 at the Marion County Courthouse. Looking for their exact place of birth. We thought
Castlebar, but do not know for sure. Would like to hear from anyone with any County Mayo
Ireland Barrett, or Gaughan ties. or anyone who would know where to get further
information.
